Reflection Sunday:

This song has been in my head this week:

What a Friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear!

What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry everything to God in prayer.

Have we trials and temptations? Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged; take it to the Lord in prayer.
Can we find a friend so faithful who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness; take it to the Lord in prayer.

Are we weak and heavy laden, cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Savior, still our refuge, take it to the Lord in prayer.
Do your friends despise, forsake you? Take it to the Lord in prayer!
In His arms He’ll take and shield you; you will find a solace there.

Blessed Savior, Thou hast promised Thou wilt all our burdens bear
May we ever, Lord, be bringing all to Thee in earnest prayer.
Soon in glory bright unclouded there will be no need for prayer
Rapture, praise and endless worship will be our sweet portion there.

My life is the way it is because of my Lord. I am stable in all areas (ok..maybe not sanity *smile*) because He guides me and walks with me through all of the good AND the bad.

When I am faced with stress...He is there.
When I am down and out...He is there.
When I am afraid...He is there.
When I am full of joy...He is there.
My greatest friend..yes...even more so than my Jesus.

Thank you Lord!!!

OH! By the way...

The Lord unexpectedly blessed my brother and his family with their newest addition this week:
Colton Earl
8lb 9oz
21" long

Big Sis' Reece already checkin' up on him.

Colton is a blessing all around...but especially to his Pa. Now the "Hinson" name can be carried on....
....and Pa won't be pulling colander duty with the girls anymore.

"Count your blessings name them one by one"...hmmm hmmm hmmm hmm.........

Have a blessed Sunday!!! Take care!

  1. Thank you for sharing this! I sing What a friend we have in Jesus to Lily almost everyday and I just finished playing her Count your blessings on the piano. I love the old hymns - they are so beautiful and full of truth!

What a beautiful little guy! Congrats to your family!

I love hearing from friends. Tell me what you think..God bless!

But as for me, I will always have hope; I will praise you more and more Psalm 71:14
