Whew!!
What a week!!!
The cold has made it's way through our house twice this month. My poor girls, I'm proud that they've managed to stay so silly through it all. And to add to that, two teeth!!
Yepper!
They each have 2 teeth cutting through. How ironic, huh?!?
Well, since we've been cooped up in the house so long like chickens, Daddy and I decided to get the girls outside to soak up some vitamin D .
When we went outside, lo and behold look what we saw!!!
The dogs had done some SERIOUS digging...
Ha! Just kidding!!!!
We have decided to start a garden. A raised bed garden...uh huh. Talk about ex-CITED!!!!!
That's me!
So, don't worry. Bella did not dig all that dirt up. It was I (and the hubby too). *giggle*
After a couple of hours on the internet researching the whole deal and a trip to Home Depot, we were able to begin our new adventure.
And it all began...
This is Mike. He's fixin' to make the first and most important step of the whole project.
In goes screw #1. YAY!!!!
You can see here, evident by this picture that I'm helping out a whole lotta huh? I am...no worries.
After I saw how easy it was, I took over. I never new how good it felt to use a power tool...I almost feel like doing the Tool Time growl. And if you grew up in the early 90's you know what I"m talking about.
(Home Improvement as a "primetime" show. Oh Lordy...I feel old."
So in case you worried about my husband experiencing work overload...here I am pitching in.
Thirty minutes later...ladies and gents...we have a box.
Now, for the dirt.
In seriousness, we plan to have three of these babies. That is if the budget allows. The box is built out of cedar instead of pine or another wood. That is because it'll last longer. Next step is to line it with chicken wire, newspaper, fill it with dirt and prep it for veggies.
I plan to call Daddy and talk to him about what to plant and all. He is and always has been my garden buddy. So...I gotta get going. The girls are banging their toys in their cribs.
Hope yall have a great weekend.
Happy Saturday!!
can't wait to see what you plant!
