In our house, we eat a lot of fruits and veggies. It's just a change that we made early last year after I had the girls. I wanted to make sure I had a healthy diet since I was nursing two little girls. My husband jumped on the bandwagon and it's been this way ever since. It's our way of life and we have passed it on to our new eaters.
Thankfully, our girls love eating...EVERYTHING! You lay it on their trays, they'll eat it up. Today, their eating fruit for lunch. Here's a short clip...don't mind my horrible talking...
I know there are lot's of studies, books, and articles all on the diets of children. But, when it comes to my girls, I let my mother's intuition play it's role. I believe that if I start my girls off right by eating fruits and veggies and drinking plenty of milk, that later down the road I will have an easier time for snacks and such. Supper time will be smoother because they'll already enjoy what Moma is fixing because they've already been eating it. Common sense to me.
Now, I'm not saying that my girls don't get treats. They get animal crackers, apple jacks, and juices. But like I said, they're treats .
I think it's important to feed my girls healthy food. It's important for their future and health.
