A Moment with One Blessed Lady

First off...
I'm so excited! This Tuesday I'll be having my very first giveaway and you're not going to want miss it! That's for sure! An adorable straw tote just in time for summer.

I'm so thrilled to introduce one of my favorite bloggers with you today. She's a fun-loving gal and will have you smiling in no time! Meet Jamie...

Hi, Everyone!!

Thank you so much to Kristen for letting me pop on over here and share with you!  Aren't her girlies delicious?  I'm loving watching them grow.

I'm Jamie from One Blessed Lady

Yes, that's right.  I am One Blessed Lady.  I have a fantastic hubby (who doesn't complain when dinner's a wee bit late because of having a blogger for a wife) and five - yes, count them - children who keep me on my toes and fill my every waking moment with the delights of being someone's mama.  Okay, maybe not every moment but many.

Every Monday I have a meme called Motherhood is Calling where you can link up with me and share your delightful (or not so delightful) mama-moments.

You can share photos, stories, tips, prayers or anything else your little heart desires.  The life of a mama can be a little lonely and overwhelming at times, so I want to provide a wee corner of the Internet where we can congregate and fellowship, even if it's not in person, to encourage and lift each other up.  So, come on over and check it out.

In the meantime...

I've already mentioned I have five children.  Five loving, adorable, loud children.  Well, I decided to take all five to the pediatrician’s office the other day.  I obviously was living in a state of denial that we're now one of those families.

It was going pretty well, for the most part, until it was time for my youngest daughter's vaccinations.  She's four and a half.  She’s lovely. She's feisty.  She's strong.  And loud, very, very loud.  See where I'm going here?  Oh, do let me tell anyways.  After five minutes of convulsing sobs (on her part), bribery, attempting at logic and reason and plain out ordering (on my part), it was apparent that we were getting nowhere fast.  The other four monkeys were getting restless and the medical assistant was starting to lose her smile.  Desperate times call for desperate matters.  This is what desperate mamas do...they lay on their children leaving one leg free while yelling at the MA to jab her as quickly as possible.  I do not kid myself.  This was not a pretty picture.

Then we had to switch legs.

Four vaccinations, two exhausted women, four grumpy children and one penitent daughter, and numerous bruises later, we left the office.  It didn't take long for me to be laughing while relating the story to hubby.  There's nothing that I like more than a good story.

Unless it's diamonds.

When does Mother's Day come again?

Thank you Jamie for being my amazing guest today. Isn't she a doll!?! I absolutely LOVE her. She is so well spoken and down right hilarious. I look up to her in many ways; as a mother, as a woman, and as a follower of Christ. She's just a great package!

I hope everyone wanders over to her little piece of the pond today...you won't regret it!  Make sure to link up your Motherhood is Calling post if you have one.
