Sometimes you have to just go with it. And that's what we're doing. We have no plans. We have no intentions of things to accomplish. Just the joy of waking up to explore the days adventures and what-nots of a nice ebb and flow.
Today it was a fun mixture. A quick trip to town for odds and ends.
The perfect opp to breathe in some fresh air.
I love and crave her giggles.
And the games this one plays with my heart...
Oh ...I fall for them each and every time.
She's got the cutest cheesy grin if I've ever seen one. It's a more recent happening.
Speaking of games. A tale of a merry go round was being told right before my eyes during some outside play.
And if that doesn't make your heart grow weak...look at this.
My two girls, right now, best friends...forever. *smile*
Hope: "Hey, Sissy, look at the bird!"
Savannah: "Oh, Hope, I like this leaf so much more."
Hope: "But it's a bird, Sissy! A bird!.....Oh tooooodles!!"
Savannah: " HOPE!!!!"
No really, they sat there for about ten minutes or so just chatting with each other. I really wonder what their conversation entailed. Don't you.
Anyhoo...
Christmas greetings were sent on their way. All of those diapers we've bought helped to provide a little bit of Christmas cheer to our families this year. Thank you my sweet babies for requiring so many.
We strolled the neighborhood for a good lap of energy. The girls connected their childish spirits with a game of monkey see monkey do.
And we made it back in time for me to catch the last glimpse of the sunset from the backyard. My favorite part of the day. Much more preferred with a sand and salt type setting, but this worked well.
Like I said, nothing much was accomplished this weekend. No laundry, the clothes are still stacked for wash, and supper time arrived much later than usual. All which is fine with us. The girls still twinkle toed themselves down the hall to their bedroom at the mention of bedtime. Sugar was exchanged like the nights before. And the end of the day was reached with all smiles. I'd say, not too bad.
Right now, my life is filled to the brim with joy and happiness. I'm content with my ebb and flow and how it rolls off the tip of my tongue with such comfort. Because that's how it should be. I no longer have a desire to run a tight shift house full of shcedules and strict routines. (and if you do I send kudos to you) We've learned that we live life better when we're just enjoying the gift we've been given and fully admire the grace that the Lord covers us in on a daily basis. It is only this way because we've given it all to Him.
Blessings.
Wonder.
Gift.
Love.
Sovereign.
Savior.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a set of miniature hand prints with ten tiny fingers.
My first ornaments from my babies. |

I love your attitude. When you have little ones you have to learn to just go with it. : )
ReplyDeleteLove days like those - glad you're enjoying it too.
ReplyDeleteHate to self publicize, but I just started a weekly photo link up -- Life in an Instant and I wonder if you'd link this post up? It's a perfect fit for the kind of posts I'm looking for. Sure would mean a lot to me. Thank you :)
Soak up those moments. They will be gone in a flash. So, don't stress that pile of laundry. It will still be there waiting for you. But your little lovelies won't wait! ;)
