It was wet and cold outside so we had to bundle up to leave. That's ok, because I love these little jackets. I'm sad to see them outgrown so quickly.
Look at this little jar of goodness we made at MOPs. Brownies in a jar. It's so pretty, don't you think.
Let me tell you. I was so shocked when my hubby got home. You see, he came home from work with the sweetest surprise for me. Almost, almost made me tear. Made me realize once again why I love him so much. He's so wonderful!!!
My very first orchid.
One of my favorite flowers.
Hey Ma!
I joined the orchid club. Now bow your head and pray for this sweet lady flower. She'll need all the lifting up she can get because my green thumb is slightly faded.
This, this is our supper.
Blackened mahi mahi, wild rice, veggies and homemade cheddar biscuits.
So much better than going out to eat.
After supper, we enjoyed our chocolate covered strawberries and pretzels.
We watched the sugar play effect on the girls. Bouncing off the walls, making us laugh til our stomachs hurt. Then we put them to bed after their sugar high wore off and sat down to talk.
No tv.
No distractions.
Just us.
Love.
It's a wondrous thing.
Aw, so sweet! Sounds like your day was great - and so similar to ours (MOPS...dreary day...husband surprises...slow, quiet evening...)! Glad you had a good day :)
ReplyDeleteAww looks like you had a wonderful day! :)
ReplyDeleteOh Kristen Sweetie...
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous share. I loved seeing the girls all dressed up. They
look so precious with their little jackets and ready to go out. Their hair ties are just precious. Did you make them?
Loved your dinner photo. It looked so yummy. The photo of you and DH together is just precious. Thank you for sharing. (DH and I celebrated our 36th wedding anniversary in January.) Time goes by fast.
Have a glorious day sweetie. Many hugs and much love, Sherry
