I Love

So far this week (and it's only Wednesday) I've had some good and not so great moments. I'm starting to feel horrible about everything there is and has to do with me.

I yell, I feel sorry, I cry, then apologize. It's a vicious cycle. I can count my successes this week on my right hand. Self judgement has taken over and I can't tell you how ready I am for it to hit the runway.

I'm uncomfortable.
Large.
I'm nervous.
Restless.
I'm lonely.
Scared.
I'm Tired.
Nauseated.
I'm very Irritable.
But I'm ready.
Really ready.

I thought with all that's been going on and how bad I've been feeling physically and emotionally  that maybe making a list of what makes me all warm and fuzzy might spark some feel goods. I hate that I've been such a downer but this should help for sure.

I love...
vintage doilies
downton abbey
little hands and fingers
basil
the color blue
old, worn in, faded jeans
the colors of fall
turquoise or anything that resembles
the smell of babies
my lsr
the feel of clean sheets
blue and white striped shirts
treating those I love
good deals
pottery barn inspiration
scarves
pallet projects
plans for our future
dunkin' donuts coffee
trying new recipes
mismatched but coordinating fabrics
wavy locks that down fall in the humidity
rossette brooches
starbuck's pumpkin spice lattes
pumpkin pancakes
outside with the family
new school supplies
the fact my hair is almost sitting on my shoulders
starburst jelly beans
dijon mustard
good days with my girls
my best friend

I feel better already. What's on your love list right now?

  1. Aw, friend! I've been right where you've been. Not very long ago, and am sure it'll come again. Praying for you. That you and your house would be covered by God's immense grace and love - you are a great mama, and a lovely woman - don't forget that!

  2. Hanging right in the balance this week with you. Love that you listed your loves. It helps to see them in writing. God's loving arms are wrapped around you in good times and in TOUGH ones, too. YOU got this, Kristen!! Hang on tight to His love.

  4. That's tough. Been there too. Heck, I feel large and yucky at only 27 weeks---with one baby. Good grief!

Coming back to the truth that all is grace, and that we're given grace for each moment of each day---it's reassuring, isn't it?! That God cares that much?! It's invigorating!

Praying that you see God's grace more clearly as you wait.
