Last week was one of our 2 monthly mops meetings. That Monday, I got too busy making birthday bags that I completely forgot that it was my table's turn to bring snacks. Multitasking...not for me.
It wasn't until when I woke up in the morning to feed Ellie that I remembered. If only I would have checked my to-do list I would have seen number 3 was just this. Yeah...just great. I had NO clue what I could bring and time was surely not on my side. So when I saw this in my Pinterest collection, I got excited since I knew for sure I had all the ingredients. Plus, anything from scratch is always a bonus in my recipe collection. What makes it even better is that you can combine the dry ingredients to have as a mix for later. I have since then mixed up 2 bags to keep in the pantry for special occasions. Everyone needs a treat every now and then.
The results...PURE Excitement! They received a hoo-rah from my MOPs friends and a 5 star rating from my husband. Five stars!!! His exact words, "The best you've ever made!" He's so good. *smile*
So you can find the original recipe HERE at Fake it Frugal. I followed it to the T and it now has it's own little recipe card for our recipe collection.
Ingredients:
1 Cup Sugar
1/2 Cup Flour
1/3 Cup Cocoa
1/4 teaspoon Salt
1/4 teaspoon Baking Powder
Mix all these ingredients together with a whisk and dump them into a zipper bag. On the bag, add the following instructions:
Add: 2 Eggs, 1/2 Cup Vegetable Oil, 1 teaspoon Vanilla.
Bake @ 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
I hope you enjoy eating them and all the savings from making your own brownie mix from scratch.
Great post and idea! So cute!
