Life Lately

We've been going slow around here. Trying to get our feet back under us from our busy July. I know I have yet to post pictures from that trip, but in due time. Promise.

This morning has been so good. The girls and I did a morning devotion at the table and they made sure to grab their bible to have something to look at. Hope told me she didn't feel too good and asked if I'd pray with her. The girl knows how to melt my heart and the Lord knows how to give me reassurance in this motherhood road I'm on.

Ellie hasn't been feeling well the past couple of days. Her eyes have been all gooped up with eye boogies and her disposition in the dumps at times. She stays on the move though. Here and there, pulling up on things, trying to keep up with the ebb and flow of home. Today she is 9 months. NINE MONTHS!!!

Where is time going?

Today we have a few errands to run. SO we'll drive into town...hit up the pet store for dog food, stop quick at the fruit stand, and if it's not too hot and humid, we'll stop at the park to play for a bit. I've got supper onto cook so I need not worry about it this evening. It's always nice to have it cooking without worry.

Verse of the week

I'm always looking for ways to share the Word with the girls. Sometimes a verse will arise with certain situations. Like with what was said at breakfast this morning...

HOPE-- "I don't want to share my cereal with baby Ellie."

Well that made me think of this verse...

"Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have for such sacrifices are pleasing to God."
Hebrews 13:16

We repeated the verse several times while at the table. It amazes me how much the girls are trying to bless the Lord already. To me, there's nothing more precious than hearing His word roll off the tongues of my children.

Well, I'm off to tackle those errands. Blessings to you today.

  1. Oh sweet Ellie! Can't believe how fast she's growing!

Hope your girls are feeling better soon.

Love how you shared the verse with your girls. It's so good to teach them the Word!
