Bathroom Update

I ventured out yesterday to some of my favorite stores; Target and World Market. I was determined to find everything, well almost everything I needed for our fancy shmancy bathroom.

Here's how I came out.

I got the shower  curtain from World Market...I was so excited that I found it there. I had to do some digging, but I managed. I was lucky that the girls let me even find that. So far, they're not big fans of shopping. Why? I'm not so sure.

Anyhoo...I can now check that off my list. YAY!!! I did find these  but I wasn't going to pay that much for them. Let me just say...too much. I know that I can eventually find them cheaper than what they were.
Not a necessity.

Target is right next door to World Market so the girls and I quickly wandered over there to see what they had for bathroom essentials.

I remember seeing these for sale a long time ago. Back then, they were like $30 a piece. When I saw the clearance sticker on them for $13, I quickly welcomed them into my buggy. I haven't made my mind up on where exactly they're going to go in the bathroom, but I will. The VILLAs one might go in the master bathroom. We'll see.
I also picked the inexpensive toothbrush holder and soap pump...it even goes with the brush nickel faucet. Yippee!
I think I'm going to have to go with white or light blue rugs and towels. I'm not sure. It's a really tough decision though. There are so many  colors and even with the paint card, it's hard to make a match. What do you think? Any suggestions?

After getting home, I was sad to see that the curtain didn't go with the bathroom color. Mike thought so too. BUT!!! We came up with a GREAT idea. Our master bathroom has the teal color and it will go perfect in there. A simple switch-a-roo and everything is grand!!

You'll see what I'm talking about.

I forgot to tell yall about my almost favorite part of the whole bathroom. Let me introduce to you a small piece of my "cut the electric bill" puzzle.
It is something that costs only $20 at Home Depot...a motion sensor light switch. I know you're thinking the same thing I am...
This little doohickie is going to save me from having countless headaches. No repeating, "turn off the lights." We're even thinking about putting one in the nursery and the playroom. Oh! I haven't told you about that. I'm working on that one...the plans are circling around in my head. Will share with you when they come together.

I have some ideas for the old vanity doors before I show you the final touches of the bathroom. It might be a couple of days...yall know the girls are keeping me busy. I'm getting there though.

Stay posted.
