Kids Activities: Window Painting

There are those days when outside isn't an option. It may be raining. The sniffles may be floating around. The air may be too crisp for tiny noses. Or it may be too hot. The list goes on........

Today, it was rainy and way too cold. Outside was not going to happen.
The girls were getting restless. The playroom was no longer attractive. It was cleaning day for me. So I whipped out one of my GO-TO activities for them.

You need:
Ziploc baggie (big or small)
Paint (I used finger paint).
Tape
A window

Instant peace! The bags last for a while. The girls are still playing with them. Next time, I'll use several colors and maybe even give them some cookie cutters to see if they can make imprints of the shapes.

Why do I love this so much?
1. It's easy
2. It's clean
3. It lasts for a couple of days or until the paint dries up
4. It works their little minds
5. Its simply fun!

Have you ever window painted?

  1. THIS IS SO COOL!! I would never have thought to do something like that. . .I'll have to share this with our children's ministry director. . .she's always looking for new activities to do with the kids.
