Today is day number two of the Holly Bloggy Christmas party. I have decided to share my little Christmas treat jar with yall today. I can't even tell you how much it cost me to make because I have had the elements of the jar for just that long. I always knew that they would come in handy one day. So...let's begin.
This is the inspirational jar that I saw while pulling out Christmas decorations. I remember buying it for my "one day" house when I still lived at home with Moma and Daddy. Yes...it's that old. *smile*
Anyhoo. I found this clay pot and bottom in the garage. Of course it wasn't this color. I painted it while I was working on Mr. Snowman. As you can see, I painted over the price tag because it wouldn't come off and I figured I could glue something over the top of it...which I did.
I applied a LOT of hot glue to the bottom of the clay pot and place the bottom of the glass jar right on top. About 5 minutes later...it wasn't going any wear.
YAY!
I grabbed some festive looking ribbon from my stash, yet again, and added some accents to the jar. For the top, I simply glued a red and white polka ribbon loop. Remember that tag? Now you can't see it thanks to the ribbon.
Now the jar is set nicely on top of my bible stack in the living room. You can click here and look at the bottom.
This is the color I used. I've used for majority of my Christmas crafts this season;
even my Receipt box.

Hi Kristen Sweetie...
ReplyDeleteNow this craft is just precious. A treat jar for the family, and beside the little snowman it is just precious. I love it. Awesome job and not hard to make. I think even I can handle one of these, and a Grammy definitely needs a treat jar.
I see in a post below that Hope and Savannah are sure growing and PaPa looks so happy pulling the girls in the clothes basket. That is just precious Kristen. You all are going to have so much fun this Christmas with the girls. I can't wait to see a Santa picture. They have grown so fast.
Have a gorgeous Tuesday and thank you again for the wonderful share. Many hugs and much love, Sherry
