A Home Tour

We moved to South Carolina back in April. I've been working hard and slow *sigh* at getting our house to look like OUR home instead of that empty house that we moved in to. I accepted the fact that when the doctor said we were expecting twins that my house would eventually be cluttered with toys and tons of baby supplies/items...and I have done well in my opinion. (Moma says I have OCD when it comes to clutter)

I have attempted to decorate on an extremely low, almost non-existing budget. Re-using old decorations and giving them face lifts to create a whole new look. Rearranging furniture a thousand times so that I won't need one more piece to fill that empty space. Cause it's expensive yall!!!

And all-in-all remembering that the care and well being of my twins comes first and foremost before anything else I want or desire.

ie: diapers, wipes, diapers, diapers, diapers, and some clothes. *side smile*

The first couple of weeks living here, the place was a wreck. Getting my girls back on routine while trying to unpack was a challenging event, but I managed (As any mother does). I tried to pick a room and work on it when I had time (usually during nap time) or when my strung out Mommy brain would let me. Am I the only one that has had trouble regaining my focusing capabilities?

The whole thing is not completely finished...but I have decided to share it with you. I have a lot of family that haven't had the opportunity to see my "home" and this is the best way I can share it with them. So I have decided that each week, every Wednesday to be exact, I'm going to share one new room in my house with you.

It'll be the real thing. As is. Clutter and all. Babies included if you wish. *giggle*
I hope that you join in. I think it'll be fun. Comments, suggestions, picks and nags are welcome. Yall are my only judges when it comes to my home, so all input will be taken whole heartedly. I promise. It should be fun.

Starting this coming Wednesday. Link up if you can...share your world too.

  1. I can't wait to see it! I am in the same boat as you. We just moved to a new state on Sept 10th. It's a slow process getting everything situated. I honestly debate about decorating because 1. I have a 21 month old who likes to get into things she shouldn't and 2. We may only be in this townhouse for a year so I don't want to do too much. Oh and also we have a tight budget and buying decorations is very low on our priority list. If you have any tips on how to decorate with little ones please share! :)

    Have a great Sunday
